Everything is fitting nicely into place, the whole of last week saw me design a debatable flyer, decide another party event name arrange the design stage of the Bokumaro toys.
Everyone assume’s that party organising is a one nite thing…all for the nite. That couldnt be further from the truth, the work and stress greatly outweighs the rewards only consolation only provides a sense of fullfillment and something to look forward to, which is why i do it. The last week gone I have been trying to design the flyer, selecting images, selecting themes and generally trying to please everyone. I think next time its gonna be like, this is the flyer n this is how its gonna be…. you got a problem with it..then blow me… We gota version now which is like 50:50 yes and no……well at least its alot better than just the “no’s” …lol
Also I have been working with the DKNC crew Kim n Chrissy to decide for a theme and name for the May party. All week we been debating a range of names from “Gansta’s n Ho’s” to “H2O”….by the end of the week, we had narrowed it down to “Gangsta’s n Ho’s”, “bump and Grind”, “Los Chinos”(which many of my promoters said they would not promote..lol), “H2O” and “Sinfully Sexy”…so after much debating and drifting from the point…then back to debating…we decided to roll on “Sinfully Sexy”. Our decision was based upon past themes and the fact taht we aiming at working class ppl, and didnt think they would accept being called ho’s…even though they would probably end up dressing like one..lol…joks…
Oh yeh..we also sorted out a payment page for the Party Promo site, whereby people can order their tickets online….should be interesting. Also confirmed some of my ticket sellers for the events. I think they would do well….especially as I still got the help of the last event peeps as well.
Cpopmusic.co.uk launch nite, excited at how it was going to go and whether anyone would show…..pre opening showed that about 600 tickets were sold… We arrive there about 8pm ..some of the others turned up as well to sort out the glowsticks and the DJ for the sound check.
On the sunday past, I had to go down to London to meet my awesome ticket sellers and give them some flyers and tickets to sell. The bad thing was that I have to carry all the damn flyers down..and halfway to my destination the stupid bag split…so I had to go to the nearest shop n buy something, so that I could get anoda bag.
Later on met up with Dan Tat and walked from china town to hamleys, on the way were giving out flyers. Tried to challenge each other to see how many Chinese people we could interest in coming….she won….
At hamleys they decorated the hallway with Narnia stuff..this werent no 2 bit job….. the proper painted the walls and stuff..with probs and stuff.
Damn…so tired again….
Had security training today, on personal safety. Was quite interesting….we learnt how to defuse situations by talking to individuals, and be able to use safe physical force with minimum effort to neutralise hostile individuals.
But best of all, we got free pizza….ten boxes…..woo woo…
Yeah all security are fat bastards…we had a feast, but we also got alot of bruises as well…^^,
It kinda lasted all day from 10 am til 6 pm….
Me and Beau Patel decided to go to the new chinese restaurant in egham..last time i tried the crispy noodles, this time i tried the mee goreng….it was quite nice actually, so simple, but really nice.
My new business venture is giving me a head ache…. Lots of things to plan out and develop. First problem is finding a supplier, easy it would seem, but not if I have to find a supplier willing to print at a cheap affordable price…..I dont wanna handicap the business by pricing it out of the market….. but on the other hand I dont want a cheap, tacky product, which is of poor quality.
I have produced some Kpop designs, that are to be used for the t-shirts … some people have already ordered, so hopefully, I can start to deliver soon.
Everyone has to start somewhere, by pricing the shirts up, it creates the impression that the shirts are of good quality, and reassures the buyer …. I hope to make this big, and will think about providing other merchandise, such as pens, cups, etc.
